DIAMOND BAR, Calif.—Nexen Tire Corp. has continued to operate its plants across the globe, according to a spokesperson from its U.S. subsidiary, Nexen Tire America Inc.
Demand, however, is down, according to the company, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The spokesperson said the company will “heed our supply based on what we see in demand.”
All employees at the Diamond Bar corporate office are working remotely. The company said it remains in communication with its dealers and consumers via email, social media, video conference and other means.
It also is determining how best to give back to the communities it serves.
A year ago, Nexen began production at its newest plant, a $1 billion greenfield tire plant in Zatec in northeastern Czech Republic.
